We will be seeing them here soon enough. Know much about their equipment? Boxes, DVR's, World box, cloud guide, modems, routers and remotes(codes). Tried to look up video CPE's with no luck. Problems, glitches, tips.

Thanks

Get ready for the suck.

Here they still use SA boxes. Sometimes see some Cisco boxes. NO whole house dvr option. Thats right, no options for whole house DVR. They don't use a combo modem/router which is good.

My limited experience with charter is largely like goldenzrule.
The plus side is that you can deploy a modem and your our router

Exactly. I don't think any of us believes that situations are the same in every location!

Questions with specific information get better answers.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Here we still see Aris and left over Motorola boxes. No idea what is even meant by world box or cloud guide. I can say their app is a complete piece of shit and using it to schedule DVR events is usually unsuccessful.

In St Louis the DVR boxes use Motorola codeset but can also be in a Pace chassis but SW is the same, IR only, can share playlists, no discreet power but they seem to stay on well even after power outage and updates. HDMI, component, and composite outputs are simultaneously hot and hi res. Simple modem provided for Internet.

Little off topic. Do you folks in other Charter markets get bombarded by the awful Charter commercial with a pretty bad beat boxer?

Dude, wtf?!?!

Here in Comcast land, and on my Dish, I have yet to see that commercial. However, I have seen other Cox and Charter commercials.

Florida. Brighthouse and Charter merged here. Brighthouse uses all in one gateways, has WHDVR and 6 tuner DVR.
