The content is all available online right now to anyone with internet access. Its Bit Torrent. And while it obviously conflicts with copyright laws, a VPN is the workaround. (I'm not condoning this, but just pointing it out) That's true of course. What argument are you making though, I'm not sure if you are just stating it or stating it as an argument against something said above?

Kinda just stating it. The content already out there and fairly simple to put together a media system.

A savvy integrator or DIY'er may be happy/capable of managing a VPN & torrent content and metadata and a Kodi box, but that's not a solution, its a hack. Selling it and supporting would be miserable, and possibly make you a target if the MPAA/content police get involved.

I stayed away from the product for years due to the lawsuits, product cost and complexity. However, we recently jumped on board with the new Alto and Status servers and they are (were) incredible. Very simple to use, set up and at a much more reasonable price.
The 4K content and access is absolutely the best video product we have ever offered. We have Dish 4K Joey, 4K computers, 4K CCTV systems, they all suck after using Kaleidescape.
We have been careful and not been victim to selling products/manufacturers that went completely out of business. We got stung. Makes me not want to do business with any privately held companies, where you can't see the financial health, but that would exclude most of our manufactures.
At least our units are still working and seem to be downloading content from the Kscape store. Let's see how long it lasts.

SONOS, please buy this. Make it happen. The investment group that owns the controlling share of them and Savant would be a very interesting purchaser.

There are a couple of players left, and all are comparable.
- Request This company has worse service the Time Warner. Sell this to a client you don't want to have.
