I can save a PDF to any other file on PC. Yet, when attempting to save PDF in Dropbox, it fails. Anyone know why?

This is a known issue. We have the QB server setup, and I have 5 computers. 4 running W10, and one with W7. The W7 computer prints to PDF from QB just fine. Cannot for the life of me get the W10 computers to print to PDF. I have spent countless hours trying to figure this out.

This will give you an idea of what you are dealing with:

Oh Im so over dealing QB pdf issues that we have been messing with for ten years! Intuit needs to get their crap together on this. No less than 30 threads have been read about this issue thats ALWAYS popping up. Assumed moving to 2016 version last year would rid us of this issue. NOPE!

I had a similar issue with Quicken. I finally figured out if I close the Dropbox program, then do the save, it will work. Then relaunch DB and it'll do the backup automatically. Kind of a PITA but it works every time.

Ranger, I had the exact same thing. Sometimes it would save, other times not. I got so tired of the "not" that I figured out how to force it to work. I haven't had a problem since.

Hope it works for you going forward.....

Primo PDF or PDFlite. Save that way. I have been doing that since XP days.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

Are you saving to PDF or printing to PDF?
I don't remember having any issues last time I tried.

...and which one do you do?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Can you explain what you mean by "closing Dropbox program"? Dropbox runs as a service. Do you mean shutting down those processes?

Let’s talk in PM

Please, let's not.

My original response to this was too harsh. Sorry.

The great thing about this site is that people with questions and information come here to give or get help. Please publish your discussions here so all of us might benefit from what you have discovered.

There's a benefit in it for you, too: if you have an offline discussion, you may share info with one person. If you keep it online, the entire remotecentral audience can see the discussion. That is much more powerful of a research and solution tool, able to help way more people, than just a discussion with one other person!

Thanks!
