LG 65" OLED "G" series
RXA1060
Oppo Blu-Ray 103
ATT cable box
Roku 3
AppleTV
Binary B6 5M HDMI for monitor and B6 2M HDMIs for inteconnects

We are getting no picture with the ATT box, no picture with the Oppo, limited image with the AppleTV and Roku (it takes 25 seconds orso for a picture to come up)...we have audio with the AppleTV and Roku...but sometimes we get static instead of a picture with the AppleTV and Roku.

We tried:

1) Swapping the HDMI cable.
2) Swapping the HDMI cable to a shorter one.
3) Wiring the components directly to the TV...we get picture when the receiver isn't in the loop.
4) Changed monitor inputs on the TV...no change.
5) Swapped to another receiver...no change.
6) Changed the resolution on the TV to OUT1 instead of OUT1 and OUT2...no change.
7) Changed processing to THROUGH...no change.

We're in the middle of putting a 1X2 splitter in the mix but aside from that, any ideas? Yamaha doesn't know.

Thanks in advance

Firmware up to date on yamaha? First thing to do. I plugged a cxa5100 in yesterday and could not image from bluray to projector. Firmware update solved it immediately.

Also, is that an active hdmi cable to display? Have you tried a passive cable?

Also, firmware on TV. If all else fails, wait for Brent to chime in and follow his advice without thinking twice. :)

All firmware was updated. We did try active and passive cables as well. No joy.

We ended up putting a 1X2 HDMI splitter in place and this took care of the issue. This was the first LG/Yamaha combo that we've had to do this with. We have noticed that the LG OLED sets seem to take longer to make a handshake (16 seconds with this pairing) than the other TVs that we sell.

Thanks

The new LG TV's are terrible. A long cable, HD-Base-T all suck with LG. Talk to Brent, he can fill you in as to why.

I've seen similar issues with an HDMI extender. Changing inputs on the LG solved the issue for me. Initially, I did not believe what I had observed, but it was repeatable. One LG input worked (for many months, so far) while other inputs did not work.

I have been actively steering people away from the OLED sets because of the possible limited life-span of the product.
This news is even more reason to steer people away from it.
I hope these issues don't start showing up in the regular LG line. Or it will be R.I.P. for LG, for any future business from us.

Poor choice of words, huh.
Fred,we spent the morning at CBS, they are using our M3B units for HD distribution during the DNC/RNC conventions and the debates so their head of operations took the time to give us a complete tour, Wow!
Then we started knocking on dealer doors to spread the HDR/18 Gbps word, there are a lot of dealers who have just disappeared around here.

Check me Facebook page for CBS system photos.

For me it has been the G OLEDS, 7700 and 8500 series. No real issues with any of the other ones. We are just about done with LG. I can't spend 2 hours trying to make a cable box work. It shouldn't be this hard.
