So we provided a router for a job. WAN1 is time warner cable. WAN2 is ATT DSL.
Wan1 is fine.
Wan2 will drop the connection after short startup period
Tried swapping WAN sources and ATT works in WAN1 and TWC in Wan2. Tried replacing modem.
So we do all the troubleshooting and call Sn*p and they RMA the router.

Second unit comes and exact same thing.
Wha????
anybody seen this?

Hi Watoosi

DSL service is usually PPPoE. That usually requires some information from the ISP.

However, please contact our technical support and they will be more than happy to help you.

I have a client for whom i installed the Araknis 2 wan router 300 model. They only have DSL. Its configured for Bridge mode. It is constantly dropping off. I sent the logs to Snap. Here is the response.

Thank you for contacting Tech Support. Based on the log events, it appears to be either an issue with the signal line, the modem, or the connection between the modem and the router. There are multiple NSD FAIL events, which is indicating that the Network Service Detection service is unable to ping the gateway address provided by the ISP. There are also numerous events showing the WAN connection going up and down, as well as timeouts when the router is requesting an address from the modem. There are other events within the log to be concerned about, such as the ping of death entries, but it seems the more immediate problem would be on the ISP side.

And yet, if you go straight from modem, it is ok, right?
