If you cant help me, maybe you can make some suggestions on who might be able to help me? I would really appreciate any help you can offer. thanks for your time.

Their anonymous FTP says you must be an authorized dealer to download the software, but there's no password protection so anyone can get it. The licencing terms went up after a competetor was doing Crestron programming to fund their company.
I'd view it like the licence for a CD. It says any copying is prohibited, even though copying & ripping for your own personal use is generally acceptable.

Dawn, you will find that the software will come with an incredibly steep learning curb if you are a remote control programming novice. Get some professional help with the programming. There are plenty of independents around that are capable of programming it for you. Email me if I can be of service to you.

Seriously, Shoe has a point. Crestron/AMX is a whole different sport from URC all the way to Elan and Vantage touchpanels... You can program crestron with SIMPL Windows off their website... You might want to play around for a little while and see if you can get the hang of basic stuff, dont expect a masterpiece program however. My reccomendation would be to call Crestron and find a local programmer certifed by them.

Surely the dealer you purchased this from should be able to help you!

Just call a CIAP. They will do a better and reliable job. If you purchased Crestron, than you cant be too poor where you couldnt afford a $500. program that is going to work.
