My point is that they don't do what they promise, so what's the point of promising anything? It seems the recent candidates would rather just attach each other, so this election cycle may be free of the same ol', same ol'.
As much as I think everyone should have time off, I would also hope Presidential vacations include time working- it's not exactly like what we do but I also think they should try to curb their expenses, especially when the country is pissing money like they just drank a half barrel of beer.
I stopped believing he would do what he said he would as soon as he started changing his campaign promises to include how he would fix Social Security and health care.
And WRT Obama's promise to make health care affordable and Hillary's comment that health care costs are the lowest they have been in 50 years,

The media should be talking about someone other than those tow, but they have a habit of not wasting any print space or airtime on the truth or people who really should be in the news, rather than celebrities who should be ignored.

In terms of capital efficiency, Trump's campaign has been stellar. The media was falling all over itself to give him coverage, why advertise?
Trump passes himself off as more honest than the lying career politicians, but if he now tries to broaden and soften his message in order to appeal to a broader segment, I wonder if the original supporters will feel betrayed and that he is lying now or was lying then. I suppose he could wink at the original supporters to let them know that he lying now in order to make sure that he will be elected. The wink will be "Trust me, I need a little deception now just to negotiate my way into office, then I'll follow the original addenda."
If elected will he revoke the press credentials of everyone who criticizes his agenda or performance?

His supporters have already been falling for this. Every time he has to back down from one of his nutty statements his fans look at each other and share a secret smile because they KNOW hes just lying to everyone else.

This thread is a perfect example of why the political environment is the way it is. You have the Orange Brawndo candidate up against the first female candidate with 40 years public service yet many state they are pretty much equivalent. Then support for 3rd party candidates just because they aren't the first two, nevermind their own kookery. You have a the progressive left who completely lost their marbles over a marginally acceptable candidate that buys every idiotic meme and narrative that the right wing spits out.
