I'm pretty sure it was meant more as a joke than a serious comment. Although, I've always found it fascinating that people in other countries follow our politics. Someone from the US, who now lives in Australia, was giving me a hard time about Trump and that her vote as a Bernie supporter wouldn't be wasted (she doesn't like Hillary, but wants a Woman (her use of a capital W, not mine) in the White House. I asked if she would prefer that someone across the ocean were able to control what she can do, but she didn't respond to that. Voting from outside of the country carries the same weight as living here- if someone chooses to leave for reasons other than a job or family situation, I'm not sure I like their vote as much as someone who stays.

WHAT CHOICE DOES SHE REALLY REPRESENT??????? She talks about the wealthy as if they're a different group. Obama said "...I do think that at some point, you've made enough money...." and she clearly doesn't go along with that tune, because the net worth of her and Slick Willie was $110 Million in 2015. When, in her mind, is someone 'wealthy'? I saw that people were going nuts because Trump's wife was wearing a $2000 coat, yet the tarp Hillary was wearing a couple of weeks ago was in the area of $12,500. No double standard there, eh? I know someone who's wealthy. Trust fund wealth. Lots of money. Leaves financial paperwork laying all over the freaking house. I really don't care because that's her life, not mine, and I'm not entitled to any of it. At one point, we got onto the topic of taxes and she said "If I'm paying a lot of taxes, I guess it means I'm making money". I'm pretty sure she uses every loophole available to her and when she votes, it isn't for Republicans.

Me personally, I think we need to throw all the bums out, both sides, set term limits, and start over. Make it actually to "serve your country" again and get rid of the career politicians.

And limit pensions, expenses while in office and afterward (Obama just vetoed a Bill that would limit expense accounts for past POTUS and the Democrats haven't been the worst offenders) and they should no longer determine their own benefits.

Most horrifying acceptance speech or... rant ever. To see the anger and hatred from the ignorant masses was beyond disturbing. Juliani, Trumps stupid kids, teh crowd with white people holding up Latinos for Trump... It is all so ugly.
