There is another recent incident where a young man (19) was contacted based on a call that he had a rifle in his truck. Cops ordered him out of his truck and shot him when he didn't raise both his hands. Once shot and on the ground they continued to shoot him several times over the course of a minute and a half or so. He died from his injuries.
No rifle was found and he was not armed.
Didn't hear about this case? Probably because he was white.

Fact.

Because it wasn't newsworthy, and couldn't be sensationalized, made a racist issue, etc, etc.

Philando was wrong in my opinion from what I have seen.

Alton Sterling had a firearm and was resisting arrest and reaching for a gun.... What do people expect to happen in this situation? It is ridiculous to think any other outcome is possible!

I don't want to make lite, any humans death, but some of these folks just ask for it.

Philando was almost an exact match for an armed robbery a few days prior, this is the reason he was pulled over. This means the cop was being very cautious as he approached, the fact that Philando had a gun in his lap didn't help the situation. If he was actually licensed to have it, which at this point it seems he was not, he would have and should have known better to not move his hands off that steering wheel. You don't move your hands towards your weapon during a traffic stop, you ask the officer how he wants you to proceed. What's blatantly obvious is that Philando didn't listen to the officer and sadly lost his life because of it.

What part of your ass did you pull that out of? He was pulled over for a broken tail light.

The NRA actually did a press release saying that they are waiting for additional evidence before making a public statement.

Supposedly, the guy had a CCW permit, no previous criminal record and was shot when the firearm became exposed. From what I have seen so far, that was a bad shoot. If so, the cop deserves to pay.

The other incident where a registered sex offender felon with a mile long rap sheet had the cops called on him when he flashed a gun at a panhandler. Even after being forced to the ground it appears he was still reaching for his firearm. While the optics of the whole deal look bad, I believe the cops were justified in their use of deadly force.

Provide a link. If there was no national public outrage its because the cops were arrested...vs being put on desk duty until cleared of any wrong doing

Nothing confirmed by police, but this is where the "robbery suspect" info is coming from.

Like most of these cases there is more to the story than the MSM media reports on.
Consider the source of the broken tail light info, i'm sure the officer wouldn't have walked up to the car and said you look like an armed robber from the gas station the other day. He probably told them that to keep them calm while he ran the guy's info and or assessed if it he had a visual match. His possible Crip membership doesn't help his case of innocence either.

Is Obama's teleprompter missing? I have not seen our Commander in Chief making comments on this cops killing incident yet.

GFYourself. Maybe your FOX news is not showing it.

Hes heading to Dallas. Is this Obamas fault too?

Gee if there were a bunch of good guys with guns, this couldnt have happened. At least that's what the NRA feeds us. It's BS. How many mass shooters have been taken down? Even Reagon got shot when he was surrounded by the most highly trained and armed secret service agents.

The second amendment was written when we had muzzle - loading muskets which took about a minute load and fire one horribly inaccurate "bullet", not high powered (how many high powered rounds a second / minute do these military grade fire? It looks like they can fire UP to 10 rounds per SECOND / up to 600 rounds per minute. Big assed difference. Hell, even your hero Ronald Reagan didn't want these small penis compensating weapons in the hands of the public.

Dont know where you get your facts from. He didnt have a gun in his lap, and he WAS licensed to CC. He told the cop he was CC-ing.The cop asked for his i.d. and he reached for his wallet. Did you watch the video?

Uh the cop shot this guy before he could even give him his I.D.! So... it's pretty hard to run his I.D. Plus there was a three year old kid in the car. Disgusting. I watched the video. That cop must have been on steroids -- the occupants of the car were TRYING to be cooperative (and were). LOOK, did you see the cops shoot the other guy the other day? This sh*t has to stop.

Ever notice that the same people respond to anything precisely the same way with the same excuses, defenses and fantasies? I always find it amazing that they work in a profession that involves engineering--that is metrics, math and physics. The same folks who don't believe in science, confuse belief and fact and are never objective work in a profession that is based upon science, fact and objectivity. You don't believe contemporaneous video streamed live with audio. It's been edited, the dead, who no longer has any rights, is wrong for using his 2nd Amendment rights that you in other arguments argue are inviolate. We shall soon read about the character assassination. Some of you are Christian. Even if you only think the 10 commandments are applicable where does it say "thou shall not murder unless you're a police officer and the citizen killed in Black? How do you work in an industry that requires facts and have an allergy to them?

"It took me a long time, and a number of people talking to me through the years, to get a sense of this: If you are a normal white American, the truth is you don't understand being black in America and you instinctively under-estimate the level of discrimination and the level of additional risk.....
It is more dangerous to be black in America," he said. "It is more dangerous in that they are substantially more likely to end up in a situation where the police don't respect you and you could easily get killed. And sometimes for whites it difficult to appreciate how real that is and how it's an everyday danger." Newt Gingrich.
"This is a Christian Country,Charlie, founded on Christian values...when you can't put a nativiy scene in front fire house at Christmas time in Nacogdoches Township, something's gone terribly wrong"

Stan,

Here's a few more facts that you should take into account before telling people to GFYourself.

As I said before, the biggest part of the problem is that so many just cannot wait until ALL the facts are in. See a little misinformation and jump to a conclusion, is not the way to go. At that point you become part of the problem.

Mr Stanley,

Where did you get your facts from, surely not the one live streaming the aftermath of the situation? She has no agenda here at all does she, no reason to leave out facts? How do you know she was telling the truth? How do you know he was listening to the cop prior to getting shot. You have absolutely no idea now do you. You will never find the real info on your typical news networks because it doesn't match their agenda. As for the other shooting maybe you should watch this,

[Link: wrongthinkblog.com]

I know this is difficult since we're not cops but just try to imagine being one, walking up to a vehicle with an armed robbery suspect, armed robbery suspect doesn't comply and moves hand towards gun. The cop has a couple of seconds if he's lucky to make a decision that will save his life. Would you have waited in this case to see what he does had you been a cop?

If you have a gun on you and your fighting a cop or not listening to the cops directions your risking your life.

Funny, I see all kinds of posts here and none of the others told anyone to GF themselves. You're a Liberal- you're supposed to accept others. Thanks for proving the point that Liberals aren't what they say they are.

Muskets, in the hands of an experienced rifleman, can be loaded and fired around three times per minute. A bit more time may be required when under fire. However, the weapon may be capable of 10 rounds/second but not a SEMI-auto rifle and the gun that was used in Dallas IS NOT capable of that. Even if it could fire that many times in a minute, it wouldn't work for that long because of heat damage and nobody can fire that many times for a whole minute- it's not physically possible.

Rather than regurgitate the bullshit that you read, just play with your electric bikes and scooters.

One of the best comments I have heard recently came from the editor of the Community Journal, on a local talk panel that's hosted by a Conservative, but the panel is mixed- two women, one Liberal and one Conservative, two men, one White and Conservative and the other is Black and Liberal. Michael Holt, the Black Liberal, said "people need to stop using absolutes. Not all Blacks are bad and not all cops are bad".

Stop thinking of others in terms of absolutes.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
