We have the best government money can buy. THAT'S how they become millionaires.

Well a good start would be to radically reform campaign finance laws. And overturn the SCOTUS verdict that corporations have the right to donate under a free speech amendment. Corporate donations are not free speech, it is merely a facet of commerce and commerce is not protected by "free speech". Corporations are charters (not individuals) granted by the states and the states are supposed to be "by the people, for the people".

Corporations are not necessarily evil by nature, but their objective is profits first and everything else can suck hind tit. When they can heavily effect the elected body with unlimited funds (PACS and SUPER PACS) then you end up with the mess we currently have. You can complain all you want about needed change, but until this one single thing is corrected, the change will only be slight of hand. Unbelievable how so many cannot realize this. We are not that far from the late 1800's robber baron days. Just robber baron 2.0.

Maybe term limits, but if you have an elected official actually working for the people, not big money, you might not mind if that person actually had a few terms to get the work done. Most term limit cravings are because everyone wants to toss the bums out in favor of the next "bought and paid for" bum.

The other issue with term limits is the checks and balances of our legislatures means it takes a little time to get something done. I don't think CFR will speed up lawmaking, and we may not want it to either.

If they have a two term limit for congressmen, senators, and president, then you can still make a career of it. It will just stop a lot of the need for fundraising.

Remember the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform act? Obama waited until the last minute before announcing that he wouldn't take public money, resulting in his campaign chest being almost triple that of McCain and yet, he only won by 5%.

This needs to have a limit- not only is the amount they spend obscene, it proves they're all liars when they say they want to help the middle class and the little guy. Obama and Romney spent about $2.1 Billion- did it actually do any good? I don't think so. They talk about Social Security as if it's an entitlement and raided the fund decades ago, yet they can pay to bring tens of thousands of immigrants in. They say they support veterans, yet,......

They're taking greed, avarice and hubris to new depths.

In so many ways, Trump is a social moron. However. he is not a career politician (not by office any way).

Therefore, he is the ONLY HOPE to rally Americans to force Congress to limit their lifetime, worthless, self-serving, cry-baby, non-compromising service terms.

Hillary now adds free college and high-speed internet to our debt. Why is our country made up up of such idiots?

Some of us want term limits because a job in that level of government isn't supposed to be a career.

If we would cut our absurd military spending, college funding would be a drop in the bucket. I'm not necessarily suggesting we fund higher education. It is an idea that should be considered but if there is no value to something given away, then there is, well...no value.

US students need to have "skin in the game" in this country, in order for there to be value. Other country's students probably understand the value of an education, whether earned or given to them by their respective countries.

Americans are a special kind of special, to not see value in something that is not necessarily earned. Give many in this country a free lunch and they will find something to whine about anyway. And I'm not talking about "entitled" ethnics, I'm talking about nearly all Americans.

Other than state universities, most private corporate colleges have been sucking off the student loan tit for decades. Talk about corruption. Shyster, sleazy corporate "universities", fleecing and defrauding students and the US taxpayers all the way to their off shore bank accounts. Capitalism at its best. Same for large corporate hospitals, big Pharma and even small medical service providers.

We really get out monies worth, er, I mean we get what we deserve.

Higher education isnt a luxury anymore. We seem content with having china manufacture everything so we better make america smart again. Uneducated countries that dont make anything that have a wealthy class and people only capable of making sandwiches and coffee wont be able to bankroll a large military (capable of stealing resources for freedom). I dont have children so i really dont care but if you have them then you should probably care whether or not they have to live in a third world country.

And rightfully so.

Lets just hope the american people will acknowledge this November the shenanigans that's been going on for DECADES and not give her an opportunity to keep on the same path, or worse, that we are currently on.

Social Security has been a ponzi scheme since it was put into law. It depends on young workers paying for older workers. There is a trust fund for any overages that's held in Treasury bonds. It has never been "raided".
