All:

We have 6 HikVision cameras (various types) along with a HikVision DS-7608NI-SE NVR in a system. Cameras plug in directly to the NVR. We are trying to get the cameras to stream to various Crestron panels (TSR-302, TSW's, TSD-2020) and are having issues with the streams.

I've enabled virtual hosting on the NVR.
I've set substreams for all cameras to MJPEG.
I can view RTSP and HTTP streams via VLC.
Nada on Crestron.

Generally, when viewing these cameras directly on panels through a stream, what URL are you all using? Has anyone done this via the virtual hosting?

If all else fails, we are just going to get an extra POE switch and throw the cameras on that instead of the NVR so that everything is on the same subnet (HikVision NVRs have a built in POE switch but it is on its own NIC thus it MUST be on a different subnet than the NVR).

I found this on the RTI forums today

We are going to give the above URL a try as a last stab.

Any help would be greatly appreciate!

Best,
Ali

You need to change the passwords on the camera from the default to a secure password. I had the same issue with a Hikvision camera and Pyng. Once I changed the camera password i was able to view the cameras through crestron

Generally speaking, this url should work:
rtsp://user:password@ipofdvr/h264/ch1/main/av_stream

The URL is [Link: username]

So for example if your IP is 192.168.1.150 and you have virtual host on the first camera with be port 65001. So your URL will look like [Link: username]

Then you just change the port for each camera

Ah, perfect, this is what we're trying as a last resort. I really hope it works! Thanks for the confirmation.

Unfortunately we're limited to MJPEG streams only,

If you still need help with this, try this:

http ://admin:[email protected]/Streaming/Channels/101/httppreview

Works for us on TSW panels.

(remove the spaces after http, of course)

Can't find where it says the Hikvision cameras are native in Pyng on the Crestron site.

You are correct. But back in January 2017, we had 2 systems which found the hikvision cameras when we chose, network, wired, search.

Now with the new crestron firmware, it doesnt find them.......

Make sure that the cameras don't have the default password on them. I had this issue and called tech support and once I changed the password on the camera the Pyng Hub was able to see it.

Appreciate the response.

The camera passwords have already been changed.

May i ask how new your pyng firmware is? Ours is the newest from a week ago.

Are you using the same cameras? Not all models behave the same.
I love supporting product that supports me!

Probably because you can't read.
