I believe we ordered some replacement fans for some older amplifiers from them not too long ago. That is as good an answer as you will get out of me today. :)

According to my local disty, the parent company that purchased Knoll a couple years ago is killing off the brand

Not really.

Their claim to fame was those pre-calibrated projectors back decades ago. Which were nothing but InFocus projectors with the Knoll badge on them. And although InFocus projectors looked good when calibrated back then - every g^ d^ one of those POS failed and had problems. So of course the Knoll did too.
They were the cheap man's Runco :)

Their next biggest hit was those amps. Can't say I ever ventured that route, so I have no comment on those things. But they didn't end up being very popular either, so...

The rest of the Knoll stuff was just absolute crap. Their IR products were easily the worst POS every to be stamped out of China.

This is one brand I will loose no sleep in seeing die. Wouldn't have even noticed had no one said anything.
