One of the reasons you became the leader in the television market is that the custom integration industry picked you as our go to TVs. We decided to use your TVs because we could count on CI friendly features, like discrete IR codes on all of your panels. And the codes were consistent from year to year. We didnt have to search through multiple code sets to find one that works. But for some reason youve decided to f**k the professionals that told consumers that your TVs were the best option on the market. Now not only have you flipped us off by removing discrete codes from more and more of your models, you have changed codes so that we cant even program a DirecTV remote to control your TVs. Youve even removed HDMI control from some models so we cant even try to use that headache to turn the panel on and off.

Screw you Samsung. Hopefully I have installed my last Samsung panel

1) I've preached for years about not using Samsuck's crap! Don't use it!

2) LOL, you no good & well our CI industry doesn't mean $hit to the sales of TVs. If we all fell off the face of the Earth, TV manufactures wouldn't even notice. We are all but a drop in the ocean.

Samsung got popular because they spent a shit ton on advertising for a few years.

Budgets are getting cut now and so are features.

^^ Yeah, I'm starting to use a few more Sonys too.

Fins, do you have a model number on the one in question? Is it last years model, or the new K series? Just trying to be prepared....

Use Sony. Then you can post how they screwed you over by having that annoying bump on the bottom half...and the Wii sensor bar like gizmo on the bottom of the bezel. But at least they will turn on and off reliably ;)

Sony has started to have some quirky issues the last few years too. But I would still choose them over most.
As I've stated before, I like using LG for regular everyday TVs. And Sony for the better models.

You know who carries Sony at a great price in your area? Amazon, delivered to your job with white glove service for free.

I just had a bunch delivered. The guy called 30 mins out. Put booties on before entering. Unboxed the sets and turned them on. Removed all packing/boxes from site. All with a smile. What's to resist?

On my price list, I get the Sony cheaper than amazon.com - well the XBR series anyway, I think the regular series might be the same.

Well duh so do ours. I mean he unboxed and turned them on to make sure they weren't defective prior to leaving. You can obviously decline this service if you enjoy unboxing and the thrill of anticipation of a defective set.

There is enough margin in (most) sonys to make it worth dealing with

Who the hell ever picked Samsung as their "go to" TV based on how good they were? :P

We have been selling Sony since they made TVs. Aside from a couple of turd models over the years (SXRD rear pro anyone?) they have been great. I think the same discrete codes that turned on my 1991 XBR CRT will turn on the newest XBR flat panel. Throw in reliable IP control, great CIS dealer support, and the latest 930D models are absolutely brilliant. I install a 55" and a 65" last week. Very impressed. I only wish they would put a plastic film on the screen to keep my greasy handprints off until I have it mounted. And they include a long enough power cord for the monstrous external brick of a power supply. Nice!

Hopefully I will never buy a Samsung anything ever again. I will also never recommend it to anyone I like a little.
