Do you know if it's trying to connect 2.4 or 5GHz? That could have some bearing, especially if one of the radios isn't working right.

After trying everything on the iPad i finally got around to looking at the network. I found it listed in Zone Director Configure Tab/Access Control/Blocked Clients. As soon as i unblocked it i was able to connect to wi-fi.
Now i just have to remember the clients old iTunes account information so i don't have to buy the app a second time.

I wonder why it was blocked? That doesn't seem like something that would just happen "by itself"...

Not sure what caused it. This iPad is in a large home with 12-20 iPads in it. Its a rarely used guest room. Im not an IT guy so i dont even know why i checked the zone director. I just kept clicking around until i noticed it.
