Hi I've put a static IP address into a QS processor but must have made a typo as I cant get to it on the address I entered, nor does it show up on a network scan now!
Anyone know how to reset the QS processor to DHCP - or find its address?
Homeworks software tells me it has a subnet mismatch (NO SH1T!) but doesnt show its IP
I'm waiting for Lutron to return my call for help but wondered if the forum may get me a quicker response
TIA

What do you mean you wanted it on the other wall - couldn't you have mentioned this when we prewired? |

Install Wireshark. Connect laptop to processor directly with Ethernet cable. Start scanning for packets. You'll see requests from the processor to what it thinks is the default gateway which should tell you all you need to know. Then you can set a static IP on your laptop to match so you can get in and reconfigure it. I use this method for troubleshooting anything brought back from the field that I don't know how it's configured.

Thanks PeterN
Lutron got back to me and we got sorted out OK, however the method you have described above is certainly something to put in my mental toolbox!
Many thanks for your reply

Mind sharing what Lutron said on how to determine the IP address?

easiest way is to connect a straight through cable from your computer directly to the processor. If you don't have the configuration file you need to create a temporary file with however many processors you have. Lutron will talk to the processor regardless of IP address. then go to activate screen
