Samsung UN32J400D does not have discretes even after firmware update. So is Sony the only 32 inch with discretes?

You could try a 5000 series for like $20 more, might work better.

The 5000 series doesn't have them either...we ran into that two days ago on the 48". There is another thread on here stating that the 5200 has discretes.

5200 series prob same as Kit's 525D from a warehouse club.
