Guys, I need to get some material to fill in some space on a built in where the speakers are. Is there a go to source (maybe internet or phone order) or do I just go to a local fabric shop? Is there even 'speaker grill' material or is it just some cotton material that works well?

Thanks much in advance.

This is the address to Jo-Ann Fabric store. Go to www.joann.com and see if there is a store closer to you, I just searched closest to Alexandria, and this is what came up. We buy our speaker cloth here all the time, just ask for it at the front counter. Happy hunting.

PS.....there are usually some hot stay at home moms at the store we go, so we are always needing speaker cloth, hehe.

You can also look at Acoustex. This company specializes in speaker grille material, and it comes in over 50 different colors.

You get a color card you can bring to clients, and the margins are very nice.

Its been a while, but i believe that Acoustic Innovations sells speaker grille fabric that is very transparent for sound and looks excellent.

All the big acoustic companies use Guilford of Maine cloth, including Acoustic Innovations. They have a huge sellection of different types, colors, and patterns of cloth. The basic cloth is FR701 but works very well and looks great.

The reps email for the US is:
