Anybody have any recommendations?
Cyber Rain has turned out to be a bust and a quick search shows a bunch of new systems on the market now. I looking for recommendations based on your experience.

Not to derail and it is a good time to ask. Are you just looking for a smart/auto system or something controlled by a control system we are all familiar with? I ask that because what is the point. In my location you are allowed 2 days a week within a 4hr window in the AM. Hardly see any reason to use anything more than a 40 dollar Rainbird timer. And I have yet to see a rain sensor working in Florida. Perhaps in areas without watering restrictions people can use it when they please?

We use Crestron DIN-8SW8 to control the valves of the irrigation system and then provide a schedule and UI for the each valve.

Rachio - just now releasing GEN2 product. Inexpensive, uses local rain sensor OR connect to weather station. Good scheduling capability. HouseLogix has a driver for C4.

http://irrigationcaddy.com/Popped this in at my house a few years ago and it works well. I've never tested it with an automation system. I think RTI has a driver, maybe some others

I'm not sure how important integration is with something, that given the proper sensors, will manage itself.

Because the government has not told us when we may use and change those system around our homes yet. Those features are used through out the day so integrating them is useful. Watering grass? Cant do it here when you want.

So that I could shut them off when we had an event... or Turn individual zones on/off and let kids run thru the sprinklers -- they loved it. Something else that I always wanted to incorporate is wind sensor. No reason to water everything but the grass on windy days. Weather man or reports on city levels are worthless when you live in windage weird parts.
