Woot has refurb one for $1050.

I've been wanting a new TV for a while and if this is a good buy, I'll get one.

I talked to SquareTrade and found that I have 30 days to buy the $180 protection, meaning that if I don't like the unit, or just want to get the 1 year warranty, I'm now looking at $1,230 total cost.

Pretty good deal. I believe it's basically a UN65JU6500 but re-badged for one of the retail stores.

You will have to look into the details of the square trade warranty further but extended warranty company's have a waiting period on refurbished units in which if a defect is found during that waiting period it will be considered a preexisting condition. I have no idea how long that waiting period is with square trade. Just an FYI since you mentioned buying a warranty.

I figure that if TV works on day one, I won't need warranty.
If it doesn't, SquareTrade is a Woot partner, or whatever they call it and then I can get the coverage. Shipping on those beasts costs almost as much as the warranty.
