Sounds like wifi is not connecting to the internet and wired is. If not connected, you don't see any of the apps except settings and computers.

Channels? Do you mean some apps don't show up when on wifi but they do when on Ethernet? That's a new one. Best thing to try first is have them do a restart of the device. Settings - General - Restart...from recollection. Then have them go through the setup for the wifi.

Well, when on wifi have them goto the Trailers app, if it's there. Can they view a Trailer? Yes, connection is fine to wifi. No Trailers app? Not connected to wifi. Start with posts above.

DNS on the Wifi is the router (192.168.1.1). Make sure the WAPS are set to either the ISP DNS or Google or OpenDNS.

I had a similar complaint from a neighbor last week. She told me the Netflix app I downloaded for her a few days prior disappeared. She had forgotten to scroll down using the touchpad on the remote on the home page. In addition, she could hold down the mic button and say "open Netflix". Yours is probably not that simple, but I thought I would throw it out there.

I blew it off. But I am going to mess with settings on mine and try to replicate. I really do not use it much. Maybe to flip up some pics or netflix for my kid if she wants it on the big screen. Thanks for replies.
