Don't forget the rs232 ports are Phoenix in a CP3 versus db9 on a cp2e
Also are there many legacy Cresent devices in the system?

Legacy Cresnet is not an issue. I've done huge Cresnet lighting jobs with 3 series and Cresnet Hubs as well as smaller jobs with 25+ TSTATs. I doubt legacy Cresnet will be an issue. You could have some Simpl+ issues though as what worked before can run afoul the new rules. The serial connector could be an issue unless you could send the unit out with premade cables.

Why is it I see a 2000 mile journey in your future?

Legacy Cresnet bit me in the ass on a upgrade. It wasn't the number it was the type of devices combined (at least according to tech support) Processor would freeze every 2-4 hours. Had to swap out the cp3 for an Mc3 It was fixed in a firmware update a few months later. But it still makes me nervous and not knowing the rest of the system I would be booking a flight

Luckily all the cresnet devices are running on either the DIN-AP2 (for lighting) or an AMS (distributed Audio).

The CP2e (soon to be CP3) is running EISC's to each and is taking care of the DM and all Ethernet connected interfaces.

Yes all sorted out, Customer received the unit today, installed it tonight with a couple phone calls. Received the text that everything is working.
I forgot to load the scheduler file the other day when I programmed the processor and was able to remotely connect and load it to the processor sitting on my couch watching the hockey game.
