For those of you doing Ruckus,
Have you done any of the unleashed ap's?
If so, what do you lose by not going with a zone director?

Haven't had the chance to use it yet, but it seems to me that unleashed is pretty much the same as Aruba Instant AP's. The master AP just runs a virtual controller for and up to a certain amount of AP's in the system. All AP's get their info from this master AP.
I don't think you're losing much at this point, except a hardware based controller.
At least that has been my experience with Aruba.

I have set up one Unleashed system so far,3 APs, and it went smoothly and has had no issues since start-up. I do not know off hand what the specific limitations are but for resi systems it seems like a great option. I have also used the Xclaim to really drive the price down and that has worked flawlessly as well. Ruckus is releasing a new version of the R300 that does AC and is also Unleashed as well so they are really giving us tools to move real quality Wi-Fi into the smaller projects.
