Can you guys recommend an audio extractor for the new Apple TV 4? One that will do DD to LR analog as well as SPDIF. This one looks pretty good but it only does PCM to analog.

Apple TV 3 are still available in Apple store. Why not using those?

It say the toslink does "up to" dolby digital 5.1 dts etc, I would think it would pass a stereo signal. Ive used this exact model with Apple tv 4. Non hdmi receiver was connected with both toslink and analog and it worked fine

The only problem is the Apple TV 4 doesn't have a Toslink out. We have been using one from a distributor that works fine. I looked on Amazon and there are plenty to choose from.

Has anyone thought of using the display as the audio extractor?

Did it work with DD to the analog out or you got white noise? Did you use the UHD model or the regular?
