We use Clare Controls and they've been pretty good for us.

A couple of years ago I wanted to get some experience with Zwave and somebody had a sale so I bought a Veralite for my house. My setup is not very elaborate. I have a several in wall dimmer switches, a couple of in wall switches, a couple of lamp modules, some in wall receptacles. I have changed all the bulbs being driven here to LED from various manufacturers with no issues on the dim-capable bulbs.

I used the web interface to build my scenes. I have scenes that run every day xx minutes before dusk turning on various lights and lamps, some at dimmed levels. Setup other scenes for things like good night, reading in bed, reading in the den, etc. I have a couple of seasonal scenes for things like Christmas trees. I also use a free veralite plugin to control my Digital Loggers Web Power switch.

RTI XP3's (master/slave) controls for downstairs and upstairs systems using the RTI Veralite driver. I use the RTI to call the vera scene. So on my RTI, "good night" shuts down all the a/v gear and the calls the vera scene turning off the lights with various delays I have chosen.

I also use a free android app for the vera for mobile granular control of devices, scenes and remote access/control when away from home.

My experience with the setup has been very good. It has been solid with very rare reboots of the veralite - maybe 2 a year. I am still running their UI5. Since everything is so solid, I saw no benefit to upgrading to their UI7. I don't really have any "popcorning" on the everyday timed scene, all the lights are on within 1-2 seconds of the scene start.

Given the limited cost, I have been pretty impressed. I have seen a lot more problems with a lot more expensive devices and technologies. Actually, I read about those problems every day in this forum.

Hope this helps.
