Some of the lamps Lutron has recommended have worked and others not. ALos, it seems like some of the exact same model may or may not work. So frustrating.

We prefer Sorra and Green Creative lamps but they are expensive! Sorra tends to have a very slight pink hue but dims better than GC. The only other option would be to go with anything that is 0-10v dimming but that is another headache.

Thanks for the tip on Soraa and Green Creative.

Wow, yeah, expensive.

I can second that the Green Creative bulbs work well. While they don't dim particularly low (even Cree and Feit seem better there) they do seem to hold their color well, and those I have used have a nice high CRI.

CRI is the buzz word regarding LED's. Both Sorra and Green Creative have very high CRI's and are preferred by a lot of lighting designers especially when screw-in lamps are required/existing.

Amazing. Yesterday I went to Home Depot and bought the single Ecosmart 10.5w LED's. They work fine with the RA6ND. The three pack of Ecosmart 10.5w LED's flash when turned off. Something is different with the 3-pack. What a pain in the ass.

Did the single work when used with incandescent or high wattage lamps still installed? Then looked good enough to try to replace the rest and then they wouldn't work correctly?

Usually due to not meeting the dimmer's minimum load requirement. On the RA-6ND, along with most RadioRa, I think that's 50 watt minimum. Some of the newer models I think now have a 25 watt minimum. Obviously could be something more technical than minimum load, but most service calls we receive when switching to LED usually involves just replacing the dimmer to the CL model. Not quite as easy with a RA system obviously.

I actually tried/tested using standard dimmers with LED in my place and I have 6 of the Ecosmart (CREE) trims in my kitchen that worked with a standard Mastro - non-CL dimmer (using 57 watts). The lights worked fine but the dimmer failed after a year. I also replaced three 50w halogens to 6.5w LEDs on a standard Mastro and I had to use the bottom kill switch to turn them off because one of the lamps (and it was random which one) would always stay on.

I had two of the individually packed EcoSmart 10.5w LEDS originall installed and working fine on the RA6ND. I then added two more can lights to the room and bought a three pack since I saved $10. The 3-pack was the same specs as the individually packed LED's. I couldn't get my three pack to work in the family in any of the can lights. I went out and bought two more individually packaged Eco Smart 10.5W LEDS and they work great. Apparently the driver in the 3-pack is a lesser made driver than the single pack.

Adjust the low end trim and the flash should stop.
