Does this mean that only C4 dealers can buy product and access support going forward? (Remember that little Extra Vegatables deal?)
I got a letter 2 hours ago.
Among other things, it states:
Over the next few months, we will be providing you with more information about our progress, our integrated solutions and our services. In the meantime, please review the following important things as they pertain to your future interactions with us:
1.
Your relationship and status with us as a Pakedge dealer remains unchanged. Your 2016 dealer level, associated benefits, as well as any earned credits are likewise maintained. In addition, we will continue to honor quotes that we provided you for confirmed project proposals. You may continue to purchase Pakedge products through the Pakedge e-store, and can still learn about our products through our website and dealer portal.
2.Pakedge prides itself on being a part of your business success over the years, and we wish to continue contributing to your success moving forward. You do not have to be an authorized Control4 dealer to purchase and resell Pakedge products. We respect your right to offer the automation and control systems of your choice, regardless of brand, to your customer.
3.If you are not a Control4 dealer, you may continue to access the Pakedge dealer portal and online store to purchase Pakedge products. Initially Pakedge products will be available through our current e-store and dealer portal, but we plan to create a new platform in the coming months to maintain and grow your business.
4.The acquisition of Pakedge by Control4 does not mean that you are automatically a Control4 dealer, nor are you automatically eligible to resell Control4 automation and control solutions. If you are not an Control4 dealer and are interested in offering Control4 automation and control solutions, you must apply to become a dealer through the Control4 website.
5.If you are both a Control4 dealer and a Pakedge dealer, you will be able to purchase Pakedge products through the Control4 dealer portal, as well as through the Pakedge e-store. Initially, only a subset of our top selling Pakedge products will be available on the Control4 webstore – but all purchases of Pakedge products directly from Control4 will be applied towards your Control4 status and VIR program. Control4 will be adding more Pakedge products in a phased manner over the next several weeks. In addition, Pakedge product and training information will be added over time to the Control4 portal.
6.If you are placing new orders through the Pakedge e-store and require assistance, please contact your Pakedge sales representative or the Pakedge sales line. If you are ordering Pakedge products through the Control4 webstore, please contact your Control4 sales representative for assistance.
7.Please continue to work with your internal Pakedge sales representative for any pre-sales support needs. Post-sales support for sales through the Pakedge e-store, including Technical Support, will still be provided through Pakedge.
