Does anyone here use dedicated software for running/operating an alarm company?
Is there such a thing?

We were thinking of running the whole deal with a trapper-keeper.

how in the hell does ernie make money?

Hahaha! That there is funny,but true. For most of the alarm companies around here the trapper keeper my be slightly advanced for them. I went to one company not too long back and their document organization system was paper "filed by pile".

I use QB. A more professional system would be Sedona Office, http://www.sedonaoffice.com/. They have solutions for all size companies and much better options for tracking what is going on compared to QB. I have thought about making the change, but haven't as of yet.

Interesting, something that handles monthly billing and allows customers to change billing info would be good.

I don't think alarm.com does that for the end user does it?

Alarm.com does not do this, but your central station may offer this. I use COPS and they offer this at an additional cost.
