We are such characters. And surely we've known some.

I have worked with a guy who will get a call from a salesperson and say he can't call, he's out of the country. This same guy will string along said salesperson by telling him he has a crew of 18 and he has to get back to the job. I was the only person working with him at that time.

A guy I'm working with right now told me he used to work with a guy named Frank. Frank always told his clients that they needed to have beer in the refrigerator for him to drink when he was on the job. They provided it.

Please fill the pages with the weirdos you've known or you've been.

The first guy isn't a 'character', he sounds like a compulsive liar.

I worked with a guy for years that would ALWAYS say "I'm not doing that!", and then he would go ahead and do it.

I ask him to do something and he said that, I knew it would get done.

Brian Bosworth when he first came to Seattle. He was actually very nice to us. When he first moved here, we set up a nice 2 channel system in the apartment he was renting. He asked my boss and I to go out and buy some "f*cking CD's". We left our wharehouse guy there with him. We came back about an hour later and there were about a dozen empty beer cans around them, and the wharehouse kid had a grin from ear to ear. Bosworth soon crashed and burned, but he was a big big deal back then.

We went on to do a nice house for him a couple a couple of years after that. Steroids ruined his body.

Bob (Robert) Edgell,
Wealthy American worth billions who started off as an electrician with nothing, was having a house built in Melbourne and i did all the A/V and automation but not the electricals. One day Bob requested something from the electrician and was told it couldn't be done for a few days as the electrician needed his sidekick who was busy elswhere. Bob wanted it done the next day, so he went down to the local hardware store and bought himself a tool belt and a bunch of new hand tools and spent the entire following day acting as the electricians sidekick. This was about 10 years ago now roughly, maybe a bit more.

A couple of random pics of his house.

Did I say something to offend? I must have missed something today. I've been out and about.

And you don't remember whether you posted something that now is gone?
Why are you asking the general public, all of us?
Something was deleted.
If you posted something and it's gone, we aren't going to know because it's gone.
Only you and the mods will know the answer to that.
It's not hard to contact Daniel for the answer.
But: another thread derailed anyway.

Now back to the topic, maybe?
