That was the kiddy I was thinking of....for some reason my UK distributor doesnt know of it (or doesnt stock it!).

Good point raised about fixed volume level output from Samsung RCA's too.

On balance then the Russound looks the best bet. Just trying to get price and availabilty from UK disty as I haven't ever done anything with Russound other than remove it to fit something else!

But if you do have variable output, the Parasound will pound- I heard the Sonarray outdoor speakers demo'd and the ZAmp Quattro was used, outside- it kicked ass! Small, but potent.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

You can use a larger zone amp with a generous TV box/enclosure, behind the display.

Unfortunately the TVs is already recessed into the wall and there is no more depth left behind to recess a box too.

That box looks to be exactly what I need for another job though!

Anyone know if they are available in the UK? A quick web search yields very little. Who makes that box? Is Versabox the product name or the company name?
What do you mean you wanted it on the other wall - couldn't you have mentioned this when we prewired?

Try this: [Link: parts-express.com]

While one may not think that this type of product is "commercial", it may be a viable solution in this situation.

Search the site for "audio amplifier" for additional suggestions. While this is a US site, I'm sure that similar DIY product available in the UK.

It looks like a great product. It's definitely a DIY product, meaning it's not in a box and it doesn't have an approved power supply (because it doesn't come with a power supply).

I'd do this at home, but I can't do it in a client's home because then I am personally responsible for any fire that happens to burn up that amp. If I ignore the liability issue, then I have to buy a chassis, locate some standoffs and other hardware, and either make holes for signal wires to go in and out (and grommet the holes), and work out the power supply connection -- is that a plug on a wall wart wire and a socket in the chassis, or just a wire passing through another hole in the chassis? Do you mount RCA jacks, too? Do you use a fuseholder? Now that you've got it assembled, can you get the PC board out for replacement without removing anything else? And since it's an admittedly KILLER product, a Class D amp, does it have output filters to keep the digital switching frequency from being broadcast from the speaker wires?

Those are the reasons I don't buy cheap little boards like this. The overhead makes it a $150 cost item.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

The Russound is a solid solution.

If you have more budget and want something a little fancier, ADA also makes a badass room amp called the RAMP.

Hi Mike, I have already spoken to The Multi Room Company!
What do you mean you wanted it on the other wall - couldn't you have mentioned this when we prewired?
