That move by those cops were so chickenshit I wouldn't even call it police work. Caller to 911 said it were likely to be a kid with a toy.

I'd say most cops fall into the chickenshit category. Like these tough guys in Ohio:

It's been documented that police work draws a certain kind of psycho personality... and police departments won't take applicants if their IQ is over a certain level - they specifically looking for slight imbeciles to join the force.

That call to the police was about someone pointing a gun at people. When they tell someone to put a gun down, the gun really should go down. Fighting with, running from, shooting at, trying to run over and disarming a cop usually won't and shouldn't go well unless the cop starts harassing for no reason. The way people are now, I'm not sure I'd want to be a cop. Milwaukee has had a spike in murders, car theft and car jacking but the police have had their hands tied by the county exec, a DA who doesn't prosecute for the crimes committed, witnesses who refuse to testify/suspects who refuse to cooperate, a city that thinks the police are in the wrong just because they're breathing and oh, BTW- "WHY WEREN'T THE POLICE THERE, TO STOP THIS??????????????????". They're required to end chases when the speed becomes excessive (I agree with this, but they do a shitty job of forwarding the info, to create road blocks). Most of the chases end in a crash, even after the PD has broken it off. A 15 year old died after hitting a tree while he was driving a stolen SUV a few days ago. He had two other juvies with him and the crash was the result of hitting another vehicle. Other armed carjackings have been committed by 12, 13, 14 and 15 year olds.

What would you do if a 12 year old aimed a gun at you? A friends' dad was killed by a 12 year old who was with a 13 and 15 year old when they robbed him.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

I think the call about someone with a gun is legit/justified but lets be real here...those cops didnt give the kid a chance to put the gun down. Its like putting your blinker on as you start to turn instead of 20/30/50 feet back to give the cars around you some notice.

Poor decision making led to an uneccesary death in this situation. Other cases like the guy who was shot in walmart for having a gun over his shoulder...that was just testosterone & rhoid fueled murder.

Also, I believe the caller even told 911, it may just be a toy gun the kid has.
Civil War reenactment is LARPing for people with no imagination.
