If Mr. Stan had made this exact post you'd all be calling for a lifetime ban from all A/V forums, not just RC.

Not to interrupt the bromance going on between Alihashemi and Stanley here but...
If you consider that most "high end" towels do a lousy job of absorbing water when trying to dry off, and the shrinkage that most likely would occur after washing a towel for the first time, She may have bought good towels(at a discount where she works) that absorb well, and washed them before monogramming them to keep the monograms from distorting when first washed.
Just my 2 cents on what may be the case. There used to be an old saying, "it's not the gift that counts"

Just sayin'. Because the story would have been fiction.

One of the wash cloths is gray. One towel has a faint stain. Btw, the reason most towels aren't very absorbent is that most people use fabric softener in their towels. Fabric softener, liquid and dryer sheets, reduces how well fabric absorbs water.

I think if they had a yellow, brown, red or green stain they should be relegated to the rag bin in the garage.
Alternatively, you could take a sharpie, cross out the current initials, write in the new initials and regift them back to them next year? Make a statement

The only thing that would be funnier is if you monogram matched the initials of the hotel; MGM........

ATM, the beer I drink comes with bottles of Frank's Hot Sauce in a cardboard sleeve. By the time Christmas rolled around, I had enough to give to my girlfriend's 4 daughters. They were like "WTF?" BTW, I meant them as gag gifts.

I got an airbrushed door mat when my wife and I got married. It was from her "crafty" (cheap) sister who thought it was awesome. It looked like someone tried to airbrush our names onto a burlap sack. We threw it away the same day we opened it.

I made the mistake of getting my ex a Vacuum Cleaner for her birthday. She tore up the card, and threw away the roses.
