Been here ALL DAMN DAY. I can't upload to this processor. The first attempt failed and it wiped out the programming. Tried wifi, hardwired, hardwired straight to processor, 2nd laptop, serial, etc. Everything fails. Already been on with tech support once, waiting on hold again.

The farthest I've gotten is trying to reload the OS over RS232 and it fails with a timeout error. Logging in via TCP/IP always works, but you can't send anything to it. Illuminations just hangs.

Any secret tips for this? I'm screwed.

Tech support may have gotten me sorted out... i'll post the fix later. It involves facing East while unplugging wires and chanting.

So are you completely bald or grey haired now? How fast did tech support get you going?
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

This.

As I clicked reply I realized I uploaded some changes on a 6 figure Lutron system yesterday morning...

Mine was fun. I was only removing some interior lights from a timeclock schedule then uploading that 1 change. 6 hours later............. haha

Had to put the processor in Boot mode (dip switch 1), connect directly with a serial cable, AND (!) disconnect the ethernet cable and also the 232 cable going to the C4 system...and had to create a new blank file (wouldn't work with the existing file) and THEN re-upload the processor OS, then reopen the old programming and reload that to the processor.

Literally every one of those things had to happen for it to work.
