If you'd consider a leather shoe, I want wear anything other than these. Steep toes, actually really comfortable, and my current pair has lasted over two years of every day hard wear.

I know there are a few threads with info on shoes and what everyone wears and recommends or recommends against. I wanted to start a new one more specific to my needs. I am in need of new shoes. I wear the older version of the pictured shoe. This one is discontinued with no plans for a replacement according to New Balance. I am looking for a similar shoe. Size 14 4E. I have boats for feet, ok?

I know I am not the only one who wears slide on shoes like this. It is so convenient on jobsites where I am in and out a lot.

Any recommendations? And no...I will not wear crocs. :P Thanks!

This might be what you're looking for

Georgia Boot Romeo's. Come in all sizes, regular and wide. $60 - $70 bucks.
Slip on and off easily. Waterproofed seams. I am on like my 8th pair in 20 years.
Most comfortable shoes ever.

I wear low top skater style shoes. They are typically wider than other shoes making them easy to slide on and off.

I wear Docs myself, very comfortable. I keep them loose enough I can just slip them off as I got into a client's home. Their boots are also great for the pit, they are a staple on my feet at a punk rock gig.

I wanted to wait until I had these for a while before saying anything. I bought them this summer. Normally I go through work shoes quickly. A pair per year or so before they start falling apart. I had been wearing NB exclusively since high school.

I was hesitant to spend $170 on these. Amazon actually had them for half that but not in my size. I bought 14 6E. Normally I get 4E.

These shoes are legit. They took a few weeks to break in good and have only gotten better. I am due for a new set of insoles, but other than that, they show no signs of falling apart at all. I clean and treat the leather regularly and will be applying some waterproofing for winter.

I would recommend these to anyone looking for a good slide on shoe. Well worth the cost IMHO.

If I could find something as comfortable as my golf shoes, I would be a happy camper. Footjoy Green Joys most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

I wear New Balance, usually the 609 but I'm having a hard time finding them in my size (14 medium).

After I finally learned that you should buy shoes made for your feet (different brands lean to different feet types) I found the most comfortable, slip resistant I could and got these.

[Link: amazon.com]

they will turn just about any shoe into a slid-on. and they will hold the shoe on tight without slipping. great for frequent on/off because i refuse to wear booties over shoes.

I have all the money I will ever need - unless i buy something..
