Just saw that DirecTV is now selling an LNB that will allow upto 21 tuners to be connected to the system. This will make SWM-16 unnecessary and allow more than 8 tuners to be connected to systems that have only one wire ran up to the dish.

It mentions a new LNB/Dish coming out in mid 2016 to support 4K, first I've heard of it.

I believe current 4K on DTV is just download, so maybe the new dish is to prepare for live broadcasts
