~~Home Theater "Installer"

Completely unqualified home theater and professional A/V installer seeking employment with reputable company. (FULL TIME!! Oooh, and some overtime please!!) I have a hammer, pliers and a roll of duct tape. Willing to use my '76 Yugo for company purposes (@ $2.50/mile). I can drill holes...most of them on target. Can run cables across floors and under doors.....hehehe

Seriously though. If I weren't already going to school to become an electrician, this is what I'd be doing. This is the fun stuff....where else could I combine my knowledge of electronics, my love for sound, and my career in video? P.S. I'd work for 15 in the Twin Cities area if anybody's interested in training me in on what I don't already know.

Been there, done that! A/V is much more challenging than single pole switches & GFI's. There is a lot of A/V companies in the T.C.s, give them a call.

LoL, no, it's a joke...besides, I've done A/V work, you hit it on the head, it's MUCH more challenging. I'd rather stick with the easy stuff.

Keep looking, there are good smart young guys out there that eager to learn and will start at lower payscale. Try posting a job listing on Monster.com, request resume by e-mail ONLY and you won't believe how many responses you will get. I just hired a very electronics savy kid. He learned half of what I know in 2 weeks and I've been doing this for over 7 years. Get someone between 20 and 24 years old.
