I have a situation where JAP is specced but they are adding a TV to a location where only COAX is. Its a 40" Samsung that only does 720P..

Is this possible? Considering this is a converted bombshelter running a wire there is nearly impossible. I placed a MoCa adapter on that line and I got 57MBPS Down and roughly 50MBPS up...

This was done on the line directly and NOT speedtest so it was "point to point"

Is this possible? anyone tried it? Im using the actiontec MoCa 2.0 adapters....ohh and its RG59....

Thanks!!

What kind of MoCa adapter are you using? Wi3 has some MoCa2.0 products that are very reliable.

Run your JAP for the switching to the point the coax starts and use what Impact suggested to distribute from the JAP receiver to the TV

Why would combining the 2 systems be a good idea?

I havent used the Metra stuff yet, but it doesnt seem like a JAP head end would be needed.

That ethereal piece would be overkill for this. Use their SDI extender instead.

o.O How so? Its less expensive than the JAP system and the coax is already in place. Its less expensive than the SDI pair too isnt it?

You sure it's less expensive than the SDI? The SDI comes as a set and the MB3 you have to buy the tx and rx separately.

If he can use the ethereal system instead of JAP it's definetly a better deal. But if he is locked in to using JAP and needs to convert one zone to coax, the ethereal modulation system seems like over kill for one zone.

not positive, but pretty sure last time I had to use the HDMI over coax boxes the price was a bit more than a Transmitter and Receiver.

I guess the key here is
A: Is he really stuck using JAP for some reason.

and
B: what is the overall scope of the job.
