I just started working at a major cable company and I'm in training right now.
I realize this thread is all about Brian's penchant for watching Supergirl and hoping to see some side boob, but did everyone miss this outrageous statement?
Working at a cable company? Man, that's some serious backsliding....

It's a totally different thing for me. I'm coming from working as a slot tech at a casino. I've never worked as a CI, not too many places in my area. The nearest would be over an hours drive for me one way.
You are going to confuse a few people here when they see the title of this thread. They will make the assumption its their super girl hero Rachel Maddow. :)

Man, that Maddow dude is ugly!
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
I'm glad I don't wear my feelings on my sleeve like Bruce. Y'all are cruel. I admit to watching the show with my kids because they like it, and y'all beat me up for spending time with my kids. I thought I was cold hearted. ;)

I have been hearing static in the rear speakers of my 5.1 system on CBS. Most notably Supergirl and Scorpion, there maybe other shows though. I do know when it's on my local news, WFSB, everything is fine. But when it's on a national program such as the previous two, the rear speakers are full of static.
The static can be heard when the AVR is in stereo as well. However, if I bypass the AVR and listen through the TV speakers. The static is gone. I can only assume that it's because the AVR is either only sending a 2.0, rather than the 7.1 that CBS broadcasts in, or my TV only decodes 2.0.
Nevertheless, then next time you watch Supergirl or whatever. Let me know if you hear static in the rear speakers. I assume that you have a Dolby Digital AVR and at the very least 5.1.
I haven't noticed anything. my rears are actually over the dining room table. The idea was I could put the system in 5 channel stereo when eating for music. But sometimes I just turn the tv on when eating. sitting under the rears I haven't noticed any static, and we do watch several CBS shows. Maybe it's your cable provider or your receiver.
