I just looked at a space this morning that is very unique. It's a very open room that has both a kitchen area and a meeting area, combined in one big space. It makes a little sense since they are a seafood distributor, but whatever.

There are two spots wired for TVs, power at least and supposedly a conduit (there is a big Christmas wreath in between the two spots at the moment). The TV locations are about 12 feet up and sort of split a high ceiling meeting area and the low ceiling kitchen area. They want to be able to show laptop stuff as well as cable and blu ray. They will do some basic entertaining as well (holiday parties, superbowl etc)

My initial thought was to put two 60" TVs up high with four Mythos XTR-40's to flank the TVs (far left, far right of TVs, and one below each tv), add two more outdoors for the rears (which will basically disappear based on location and paint color), run a Denon or Marantz in " no center" or multi ch stereo, Pro Control to run the room.

Sound alright?

It won't sound right....
You should use commercial gear for that, 70vlt system.
Try Symetrix Jupiter, Lab Grupen, Shure wireless mics, LG commercial LEDs, Solstice 4K Pod and Atlona CLSO presentation switch with mirrored outputs. Try sound tube or tannoy 70vlt speakers, even Bose DS.
Then use your control system of choice.

This would give them the ability to have live sound, media from devices such as laptops, phones, and tablets.
Probably would cost $20,000 or so.

If you wanted to get crazy, add a few PTZ robotic cameras from Vaddio or Snap to display on the TVs what is cooking at the kitchen area.

I'm not really sure they want to go that direction. At least that's how the IT guy made it sound.

It's a nice, new (redone old warehouse), clean, space, but unfortunately the meeting area consists of six tables pushed together to make a big rectangle. There are two cat5's under the table with a chase to somewhere. Now I'm no interior designer, but if I send them a 20k quote I may get laughed out of my inbox.

70 Volt obviously crossed my mind, but they have some giant, goofy railroad tie contraption hanging from the ceiling that would conflict with pendants. I was trying to have the speaker blend in a little.

There are tons of different 70 volt speakers, wall mounted etc.

I understand what you are going for, but it could be the wrong application for the set up you are thinking of.

Shoot me a PM if you need quoting help for my version of events, there are ways of minimizing costs etc..
