BT 2.0 is supposed to go 10 meters, less if dense materials are between the transmitter and receiver. If the signal can reflect, it may go farther.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

I have noted an issue with the MX-890 and my new Apple TV. The play pause would not work from the Complete Control Library. This is not the first time I've come across something quirky with the MX-890.

Change the number of repeats in the Macro editor to 1 and uncheckmark the repeat when button is pressed.

use the following code.
0000 006D 0044 0002 0155 00AB 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 04AB 0155 00AB 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0555 0155 0055 0016 0E55

Ernie were you aware it now has a separate play and pause buttons for which the pause IR code doesn't seem to be available at least in URCs base. Works fine as a Select button.

Duct Tape can I teach it what code to use for Pause? I had no idea about the trickery you described earlier.

Hold on just a minute it seemed like on the newest ATV my URC PLAY button worked just fine every time for play...but would not pause. It's like Pause should be a totally different code and obviously not learnable from a Bluetooth remote. iF I make the adjustments you describe will pause start working with the same button, or would your quirky mix-890 URC button not work at all at first? I do mostly 980s.

Be aware: I've had some funny quirks with the control of IR on the newer Apple TV's. While I was able to swap out my Apple TV III for the new model at home with no changes in programming (using Control4), I've had two customers with URC remotes where the original pause/play commands don't quite work from the CCP URC database.

You can navigate and select just fine off the menu, but once the video starts, you can't pause/play in certain apps like Netflix. The only way I could get it to work correctly was to use a previous gen Apple TV remote that has IR and learn the pause/play command into the remote.

This cost me a service call since I hadn't bothered to test pause/play in Netflix.

Thought it was a fluke but had to do it two more times with a customer who had MX-890's.

Wait, you were using IR for an ATV3 with C4? Duuude... The IP driver is(was) slick!

This worked for me, thank you. MX-890/Apple TV 4th Gen
