Just curious if you've looked at the Mercedes Metris. I haven't seen one in person, but on paper it has about 60 cu ft. of cargo space on the connect and it would still be city friendly.
Yup! driven one extensively, problem is....They are extraordinarily overpriced. they have some amazing options like heated seats and a steering wheel that is one of the nicest steering wheel I have ever put my hands on (go figure)
Once you add seats and a seatbelt to the metris you are up near $35,500 which is sprinter territory and certainly gets you a very nicely optioned out Transit. For this reason I think the van will be a failure, unfortunately because it is such a nice van! maybe they will get the prices down once the plant in south Carolina gets built...right now they are built in spain, shipped to Germany where they are disassembled into 12 parts, then shipped in a "crate" and then rebuilt on american shores, all to avoid the insane stupid chicken tax....
The 12 pieces, dis assembly and re assembly scares me a bit...
