I used to see these around, but now all I can find are dimmers. Does anyone make an IR switch still?

Thanks,
Matt

Insteon may be a system to consider, using the IRLinc receiver and SwitchLinc wall switch. Don't know if you need an Insteon controller of some sort with that.

Insteon has had their share of QC problems, and marketing to consumers. Not sure how you feel about those issues.

I've never used Insteon, and I don't plan to.

If you can sell them on lighting control for other areas of the house, you could step up to something like RA2 and a Hybrid KP (scene control with IR), for $620 MSRP.

UPB would be cheaper, using an IR to UPB converter.

I'm sure there are relatively cheap ways to control z-wave with IR.

But, I don't see any IR controlled light switches, online. Dimmers, sure, but not switches.

Are you switching lights or an appliance?

What Neuro said, plus, give us some more information as to your application. We know you've concluded that you want IR control, and we presume you mean an IR remote controlling a single-gang switch, but hey, maybe it's not that, and hey, maybe one of us could come up with something acceptable coming from the same starting point.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I'm looking for single gang wall switches. I currently have two clients that I need them for. One is a class room with florescent fixtures. The other is to switch a gas fireplace on and off.

I would be using them with either Bitwise or Pro Control systems.

Thanks,
Matt
