I am in the market for a large TV, for me personally. Thinking about the 80" Sharp LC80UE30U or the 75" Samsung UN75JU6500. I haven't installed either of these. Is the Sharp any good?

Can't offer a specific recommendation, but I hadn't used a Sony in years... and have been completely impressed by last year's X850B. Control that works, way more advanced options and customization than I would've expected from a Sony, plus a fantastic picture.

the C series picked up right where the B's left off.

Sony had been mid level for about 6 or 7 years before last years sets. they really got back on track and have shown they are a real player in the high end TV market again.

The Samsungs dont handle motion like the sonys and the Sharps just look wrong in addition to the motion issues.

You could have at least put a smiley face after, for such a huge level of sarcasm.

You see, that was the genius of it - NOT putting the smiley behind it

We have a client with an 80" sharp and it has a green line down the middle, its 1 week out of warranty, sharp says it cant be repaired and to toss it out, not even willing to attempt to fix it or offer any help.

Stay away from sharp

The local repair guy (been in the busines for decades) says the LG panels are the best for repairs and warranty issues, Sony is up there too.
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
