@stuartmhannon - the setting you are referring to is our EZ Access that allows you to connect to the local GUI of the AP using a URL. Once you configure a VLAN on the AP, it automatically disables EZ Access and there should be no issues.

If you're still facing issues, please send me an email and will get things sorted out for you.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to make it this year. So please note my feedback that I need an outdoor AP for a project scheduled next spring :)

Just wondering if anyone has tried the new Araknis Network routers or Wap's. If so, how are they working?

I wouldn't use a Araknis router in a system for the simple reason that it's a rebranded product, but i guess if there is an Araknis case around it, that makes it better huh?

Please explain....you have a axe to grind about re-banded products which are ALL OVER our industry. I am always suspicious of first posts like these....

Routers have been working fine for us. Just ordered another for inventory. By far the least finicky for our C4 systems.

And OVRc is the shit.

Has anybody successfully got a MoCA adapter to work with the Araknis router? I've tried everything and can't get it to work. I had the Actiontec ECB2500C MoCA adapter, which worked fine with my Mikrotik router and Netgear switches. It also worked fine with an Asus router I was using prior to that. However, I recently upgraded everything to an Araknis router and unmanaged Araknis switches. My network as a whole is running so much better, but for some reason, I can't get the MoCA adapter to work, so have kept it off the network. As soon as I plug the Ethernet cable from the MoCA adapter into either the router or switch, everything goes offline, both internally and externally. Unplug it, everything immediately works again. I then tried the Actiontec ECB6200 MoCA adapter, and have the same issue. The problem is I use TiVo and need the MoCA network. TiVo works without the adapter, but I get a little stuttering and sometimes freezes at my Minis. With the adapter in place, it solves that issue. Since I didn't have a problem with the 2 prior routers, I'm convinced that there's something within the Araknis router settings, or a conflict as a whole that might need a firmware fix, that prevents it from working, thus shutting my whole system down. It has to be the router, as I installed the Araknis switches first and had them working fine for a few weeks with the Mikrotik router and the MoCA adapter that was already in place, but as soon as swapped in the Araknis router, this happened. I thought about putting the MoCA adapter on its own VLAN. However, couldn't as although the MoCA adapter has a MAC address, it doesn't create an IP address. I'm wondering if anybody else has tried a MoCA adapter with an Araknis router successfully?

I have a job controlling 8 DTV H25 receivers with IP control using a adapter and the router, WAP, and network switch are all araknis.

Question: Why change out the tik for the Araknis??

I've always had better performance with the tik.

same here. all we use are tik's. not to mention the tick can do a ton more then the araknis.

We tested the araknis gear against tick, Ruckus and Meraki. At no point did araknis outperform or even match our other product selections.

Absolutely no reason I can see to use araknis IT, with the possible exception of small cheap switches.

I wish they would actually update the product from CEDIA. The "coming soon" seems to be recording from RTI.

Maybe RTI should acquire them since all other control companies have purchased others recently
