I know i had asked about this a ways back but i thought i would touch upon it again...

Now that we have decided to open the store we are looking for a few brands to go direct with....
I was wondering what everyones input is on Klipsch. HOw they sound, what you compair them too, ect....
Right now i am beween speaker lines for the store. We are def. doing sonance, atlantic tech, But i was debating about klipsch and polk.

You guys will def. have something to say here....

Thanks,
Lonny

I would stay away from brands that you can find in retail stores.
I'm always right. The only time I was wrong was the time that I thought, that I was wrong.

We do Definitive Tech - Nice line but makes me nervous with the new merger.
Sonance
Mirage - They are finally redoing prduct line. Releasing products to keep pace the "lifestyle" shift in the industry Can I say that without ruffling Bose?
They also make energy and athena.
I would probably avoid Klipsch. I used to sell them and they are HARSH. Alright though for cheap theater but horrible for music.

I like H/K's speakers, although I do not have an audiophile's ear. I compared them to some more expensive BA's in my home, and couldn't justify the extra cost for the BA's.

B&W if you can get them. It is like printing money, they have a great rep. and they police the line better then any one else.

The thing with Klipsch is that now even Best Buy is selling them. I don't know about you, but my shop's pricing can't compare with major chain discount stores., so we don't bother with identical lines, or even the same manufacturers. Also, they are a great speaker for a lower powered receiver, due to their sensitivity. However, they won't bring the same quality sound as the B&Ws. If you want LOUD, get Klipsch. They are GREAT at that, which I like.
P.S. I own a set of Klipsch RF-3s, and I think they sound great, BUT, my shop sells B&Ws, and truly there is no comparison, provided you have the right AMP and source equipment.
