Title says all.  Decided to switch to Comcrap Triple play, which bundles Video, Internet, and Telephone.

I do not very comfortable to use their modem/gateway/router (Xfinity) due to every time their tech guys show up for service call, they all have tendency to replace the current modem/gateway/router you have.

Since I have a camera system with DDNS configured on the router.  If these tech guys decide to replace the router, I'll be on square one to spend sometimes to reconfigure the DDNS again.  It seems like PIA.

I've been looking for an alternate third party Modem, Router, and/or WAP whichever does have telephone connection since I have the Triple service.

I'm open for suggestions...  TIA

you need a telephony modem. Stick with comcast suggested models in this list to make your time on the phone registering it easier.

You can Bridge the combo piece of crap they lease to you so it only acts as a Modem. Port1 then plugs into the WAN port on your router.

Dozens of systems configured like this. (Including my own at home) Phones work fine

I still have to pay the Comcrap POS monthly rental...

But may be it'll work without spending time to reconfigure the DDNS every time thy decide to replace their gateway.

It doesn't matter...they billed me monthly for the modem even though i had my own then tried to get me to pay for the modem when i cancelled service. It felt great hanging up the phone knowing that their attempt to screw me out of money alerted me to the fact that they owed me monthly modem rental fees for 18 months.
