we have a job where we have Roku installed and being controlled via the IP driver by C4. We actually replied the clients existing Roku as it locked up every few days and required a power cycle.
They basically have the screen saver up with no control over the device.

We put in a brand new Roku (I don't know the exact model but it is brand new). It has been locking up as well.

Does anyone know of any issues with Roku ( I have little to no experience with these devices as we do mostly Apple TV)?

Thank in advance.

Have had no issues with Total Control and their driver, so that could eliminate a wide spread roku issue hopefully. We're there any recent updates to the c4 driver? Sorry I can't help, no experience with C4

Nice. I set mac reservations on all our Roku's (and other devices we cannot set static ip's to that work with a driver module)

Longshot - are you positive this has solved your problem?
We also have a Roku and a Control4 HC250 in the field where every few days we got the lockup as well. Screen saver with no control, except with the Rokus own remote.
Roku has been on a MAC address reserve for months with no IP conflicts. The only thing I have noticed is that several neighboring networks were on the same wireless address, so I changed his thinking maybe that could be the problem.
However, still locks up from time to time.

Is the roku on wifi or hardwired? If it's on wifi(playing with fire) what Is the wifi?
I've done a roku over wifi with C4 but it was with a ruckus wap

Well we haven't actually gone out to fix it but we are pretty sure that is it. We have clear IP conflicts.

Any word on this?

Since Control4 bought EV is the driver in control4 or do you have to download. elsewhere?

I see a Roku driver in C4 but I dont see options for controlling via IR or IP.

Just tight on time-look for a quick lowdown!

The IP driver works fine and if you are on 2.8 then the new driver will autosearch for the Rokus. The only caveat to the new driver is that you have to hit cancel after selecting the channel so that the handheld remotes will control the Roku. It is a known issue to be fixed in a future update according to them.

Within Control4 composer
I've only used the IP driver, I'm sure there is an IR driver somewhere in the list!
