When I am given proof that the brother is even real, and even better, proof that he had a medical emergency, I might feel like a dick. So far, it's still just another story.

+1 I would like to know if Hi-Fi actually head this from bruce or he was actual out looking for him. Sorry, just dont buy it. Once we have proof I will offer a sincere heartfelt apology and make sure eveyone knows. Hell Ill even stand up at cedia at one of the parties to let everyone know what an asshole I am.

No need; we already know.

Well guys, a few of you can go f**k yourselves. I'm done with you & RC since it has become an increasingly hostile environment. For the good guys here --- keep on truckin'.

I just hope that none of you or your family members ever suffer a stroke. Losing the ability to speak and having to (try) to read and write again is not a good thing. My dad had a major stroke at 52 that ended his career.

It's life changing. I've got my hands full since I am his last remaining relative. Time to man-up and help him anyway that I can. Aphasia is a bitch. No paralysis, but more neurological damage than originally thought.

Thanks for the good times. Not so much for the other.

Peace.

Bruce

P.S. Just sayin' - if you smoke-quit. Especially if you have high blood-pressure. Strokes are not a good deal at all.

Bruce, you may want to consider picking up a book by Diane Ackerman titled "100 names for love" . Her husband suffered a severe stroke, and this book details her personal challenges, but also talks technically about recovery, and the like. It's a great book (my opinion, all of hers are) that offers hope to folks who are in your situation.

Thank you Fred. Yeah, strokes run in the family. I was 15 when my dad had his, and it was life changing for the whole family. Today they are able to do a lot more than back then (1968).

I appreciate it. I'll see if Amazon has it.

The feeling is mutual. When you are done patting yourself on the back you can remind yourself that you created the situation then behaved like a child.

Hopefully you are done sending profanity laced private messages and calling people out on the forum with whine threads.

Send us the hospital info and the room number and I'll kick in a few bucks myself so that it will be FLOWERS from us at RC.

Sorry Stan, you know that hick from NC can't spell either.

He's resting at home now.

How'd your conversation with my boss go?

Thanks for the offer, but don't bother. If you want to send them to the house I'll send you the address privately.

Btw Bruce, your brother must be doing really well recovering if they didn't send him to a rehab facility before letting him go home

I had meant to comment earlier:

If Mr. Stanley's post is legit, then shame on you doubters. If his post is not legit, then shame on you anyway. If the latter, then he is calling out for some kind of help from a community that he clearly views as family.

He deserves support in either case, or at least he deserves to be ignored. What good can possibly come of being mean to a vulnerable colleague?
