Mocking is to create a bad feeling. Ribbing is for one's pleasure.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I always thought ribbing was for her pleasure.

Seriously, it mildly annoys me when people say wire instead of cable. But everybody knows exactly what is meant, so I almost always say nothing. For you, I make an exception.

There, their, they're, I cringe. Everybody laughs, but it means a step back in evolution.

I wouldn't bother with flexible core unless truly needed as it is a pain to work with. Stick with solid core.

You can try cheap old RG-6, it may work, but you won't get the same distance. Same as HDMI, if it is working, there is no loss. When it fails, you will start to see sparkles etc and then very quickly you will see nothing.

Keep in mind that HD-SDI is running at 1.5 Gbps, so you really should go with the good stuff. Also, even the "cheap" SDI gear isn't that cheap, so I doubt Belden 1505A will break the budget.

I purchase mine from IEWC or graybar. Pricing should be well under a dollar a foot.
