I've sold and installed a fair bit of KEF and love the product...One of the best sounding speakers for the $ IMHO.

I've not, however, had opportunity to audition the Ci5160RL-THX in-walls. Can anyone comment on these?

I sell a fair bit of Kef's high end speakers. I have a pair of the Ci3160-THX and a pair of the Ci200RR-THX in my home/showroom. I've installed 3 of the 5160's behind an acoustically transparent screen for a customer . All of the above are world class. A definite step up from the rest.

I'm a big proponent of properly set up subwoofers to handle the low frequencies. I always cross everything over @ 80Hz. I found that both the 3160's and 5160's will hit reference level volumes in large rooms at a 15 foot seating distance.

IMO, Kef has the best in wall and in ceiling speakers currently available in the models listed above. I replaced a set of Dynaudio in ceilings for the 200RR's and the Dynaudio are very good

I have three of them in a theater showroom. They look amazing. I wish they had a backbox for them.

They are heavy as crap.
