So, I have 4 Sharp tv's (LC-70LE660U) being used with a 4 output splitter and 4 HDBaseT baluns from Snap. The source is a PC. Occasionally the signal will not display to the TV's. Snap support said I had to manually update the firmware via USB to alleviate HDCP hiccups or something because the online download doesnt download that sort of data. So I go to download the firmware and open the zip file up, and its missing the firmware all together. I call Sharp and so far I've spoken to two reps for over 40 minutes. They wanted me to try to get the file via their FTP site, but didnt have the link to the FTP. Finally they want to ship me out a USB stick with the firmware on it. I'm happy they want to ship me the USB, but I think its silly they cant just email me the file or a proper link. Now I have to make another trip out to see if this really will fix the issue. End of rant.

I'm having a few issues with that tv as well. The TV has locked up before the update (online).

Also, I can't get a discreet power on / off to work and wonder if I have a bad tv. Do you have this issue?

I haven't had the need in this application for a discrete on/off, so I don't know the answer. However, I did have one TV lock up during an online update via WiFi. I Had to physically remove power and restart it to successfully complete it.
